Educational Philosophy
“An education that spans across interdisciplinary fields which helps students develop and cultivate creativity from theoretical study tp applied technology.”

The Faculty of Science aims to educate individuals to become people with a wide range of knowledge, common sense, international awareness, an appreciation for cultural diversity, a high moral compass, a broad imagination, and creativity. Students in the Faculty of Science gain knowledge in basic and applied natural science, build presentation skills and are exposed to foreign languages with our faculty. The Faculty of Science has the longest history having started with the establishment of OUS. Under the guiding principle established by our founder, Tsutomu Kake: “To draw out each and every youth’s abilities to their maximum potential,” the Faculty of Science has graduated excellent educators, engineers, and researchers.
There is a call to advance Japan's role as a world leader in science and technology in the 21st century.
