On Tuesday, May 12th, OUS student organization GLOBOLA held its Kick-Off meeting for the 2026 academic year at the C1 Building.
GLOBOLA (Global Volunteers) plans and hosts events to champion OUS’s global community, including international and Japanese students on the OUS Okayama campus, as well as online events with university students in other countries. The events promote intercultural understanding, communication, and learning.
The meeting started off with an icebreaker game: Cup Jenga. Unlike the traditional Jenga game, the cups were written with questions that all participants answered, such as "What is your favorite food?" After the game, the GLOBOLA members introduced their mission and activities planned for the year. During their introduction, they explained the inner workings of their activity planning. They also took the opportunity to announce two upcoming events to note: the Summer Festival for visiting university students in the US-Brazil Ambassador Program on June 30, and the Tanabata ECO Nite on July 1. These events promise to be engaging and educational, and we can't wait to see you there!
