The Freshman Seminar, which focuses on international exchange and overseas programs and will be held on May 15, 16, 17, 20, and 21 at Ridai Hall on the Okayama Campus, is being held for the new Okayama University of Science students. The seminars detail the university's international exchange events and overseas programs.
The first seminar on May 15, hosted by our student organization "GLOBOLA," is a testament to our welcoming and inclusive community. It kicks off with a warm welcome party in April and continues throughout the year with a diverse range of international exchange events and meetings with international students. This year, we're excited to resume our bus tours outside the prefecture, with a visit to Himeji planned. Last year's activities, featuring multinational participants, were showcased with photos, highlighting the sense of belonging and global camaraderie we foster.
The Global Center is your gateway to a world of learning opportunities. We offer study abroad programs in countries such as the U.S., Brazil, the Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, and Sri Lanka. Our focus is on practical communication skills, moving away from test English. Learning English should be fun, so we offer programs like "Lunch Break English" and "English Party." These programs not only enhance your language skills but also broaden your horizons and enrich your university experience.
If you are interested in the Global Center's efforts, please visit its website for more information. We look forward to your active participation.
