The Okayama University of Science is home to a vibrant student organization, GLOBOLA (Global Volunteers). This dynamic group orchestrates events that foster a global community for international and Japanese students on the OUS campus. By joining GLOBOLA, you can engage in activities that promote intercultural understanding, communication, and friendship, enriching your university experience.
On April 23 and 25, GLOBOLA held two information sessions in the Presentation Room in the A1 Building.
During the sessions, 3rd-year students Mr. Suzuki and Mr. Izumi presented a comprehensive overview of GLOBOLA's activities. They shared the organization's history, including its resilience during the coronavirus pandemic, and highlighted the diverse range of activities from the previous school year. These activities included in-person exchanges with students from Taiwan, the Philippines, and the United States, online collaborations with students from Thailand, and on-campus events like the Welcome Party, Tanabata Eco-Night, and Juusanya. They also provided a sneak peek into the exciting activities planned for the current academic year.
Mr. Suzuki and Mr. Izumi wrapped up the session with questions and answers from students. They shared a QR code for those interested in joining.
