3rd- and 4th-Year Faculty of Education Students Receive Plaque from Okayama Prefecture

On March 19, third- and fourth-year students from the Faculty of Education received a plaque from the Human Rights and Gender Equality Division of the Okayama Prefectural Citizens Life Department. The students from the Faculty of Education participated in the 1st HEART.FULL Expo held at the Okayama Convention Center in July, aiming to raise awareness and act on human rights issues throughout the prefecture as a whole, as well as to engage in human rights awareness activities in cooperation with the younger generation in the prefecture. The students received high evaluations for their presentation on their activities to support Japanese language learners in Japan and abroad and the importance of "YASASHII Japanese" they have realized through their activities. They also played a card game with the participants to introduce “YASASHII Japanese.”

Mr. Ishibe, head of the Human Rights Policy Promotion Group, and Mr. Fujita visited OUS. They spoke about the significance of university students in addressing human rights issues and the importance of students' efforts in the Faculty of Education.
We want to continue contributing to human rights awareness activities in Okayama Prefecture.
