On April 8, 3rd-year students Kaito Takata and Dawt Tha Bor took eight new international students enrolled in the Intensive Japanese Language Program (IJLP) on OUS – Okayama Campus tour. The new students came from Nepal on April 2 and are the first to arrive since Japan lifted its two-year travel ban.
The 30-minute tour was part of the new students’ orientation organized by the IJLP and the Global Center to enable them to become familiar with the necessary places and services available on campus. Mr. Takata and Ms. Bor are members of Global Volunteers (GLOBOLA), a group organized through the Global Center on the 4th floor of the C1 building. The group comprises students interested in participating in cultural and educational activities on campus, around Okayama, and online with other university students abroad while learning the value of teamwork across cultures. GLOBOLA is constantly looking for new members!
