OUS Researcher Exchange Meeting: All Researchers Presented and Connected Over Three Years

Core Session — OUS Research Exchange Meeting

At the end of February 2026, Okayama University of Science (OUS) held the OUS Researcher Exchange Meeting on its Okayama Campus.

This event is designed to foster new networks among researchers withing the university and to help establish a new institutional research identity. Held annually at the end of February, the meeting has, over the past three years, featured poster presentations by nearly all full-time faculty members introducing their research.

During the same period, the university also hosted its internal “Project Research Report Session” and the “New Project Research Review Session.” As a result, the core days — Thursday, February 26, and Friday, February 27 — transformed the Okayama Campus into a vibrant, conference-like environment that transcended disciplinary boundaries.

Now in its third year, the event once again welcomed a large number of researchers from the Imabari Campus. A total of 119 researchers presented, and more than 170 faculty, staff, and students attended, creating an active forum for exchange that bridges the two campuses.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for researchers — who might normally exchange only brief greetings — to engage more deeply with one another’s work across disciplines. In some cases, these interactions have already led to collaborative research projects. It is expected that the connections formed through this event and the accompanying review sessions will further strengthen collaboration and accelerate the creation of innovative research.
