Graduation Ceremony Cancelled
Following the nationwide spread of the new Coronavirus (COVID19), Prime Minister Abe requested cancellation or postponement of large events on February 26.
In response, the Okayama University of Science Graduation Ceremony scheduled for March 20 has been cancelled in order to minimize the risk of transmission and prioritize health and safety.
This ceremony is an important milestone for graduates, families, staff and faculty, and we are aware that many have been looking forward to the event. Given the situation where early eradication of COVID19 is not foreseeable, we felt it necessary to come to this unfortunate decision.
We hope that you understand this situation and accept our judgment.
Graduate school events scheduled on the same day are also cancelled.
