A Busy Day for GLOBOLA Members – Part2

Serving It Up at Tanabata Eco-Night
On Wednesday, July 2, 2025, immediately after the US-Brazil Summer Festival, GLOBOLA members participated in Tanabata Eco Night outside the A1 Building.

The Student Support Services of Okayama University of Science invited GLOBOLA to participate in the activity and involve the university’s international students. This year, GLOBOLA’s Sri Lankan members supervised the group in preparing this year’s dish in the Home Economics training room on the 9th floor of the A1 Building, which was sold at a food stall to the OUS community.

This year, the students prepared Sri Lankan pancakes, a dessert consisting of a filling made from coconut flakes mixed with brown sugar and aromatic spices, wrapped in a pancake made from wheat flour, coconut milk, and vanilla.

In all, 18 GLOBOLA members worked together to prepare and sell approximately 170 pancakes, making this year’s participation a success.
