Department of Veterinary Associated Science

Department of Veterinary Associated Science

Three Key Points

Educate students to become highly specialized VPP (Veterinary Paraprofessionals)
Students can choose a specialty from three fields: veterinary nursing, life sciences, and public veterinary medicine
Students can obtain qualifications that connect humans and animals

Looking at the world, there is an urgent need to train people who can play an active role in areas such as food safety, countermeasures against animal infectious diseases, and the development of advanced medicine using laboratory animals. There are a variety of problems, even in animals that are members of families, that require a diverse range of expertise to solve. This department trains future "Veterinary Paraprofessional (VPP)," including Veterinary Nurses for Companion Animals (VNCA) who aim to work in the fields of veterinary nursing, life science, and public veterinary medicine and play a role in creating a better society that coexists with animals.
