Outline

The Faculty of Education seeks to develop graduates who possess a wide-ranging
education and high communication skills, with “the ability to inquire” and
“the power of words” as core concepts.

The graduates are expected to be teachers with a strong sense of mission to contribute
to society, as well as to the personal development of the future generation,
by active cooperation with colleagues, parents and community.

We hope to accept Faculty of Education students on the basis of these perspectives and
qualities of the students.

 

Our Faculty is seeking people who

  • Want to contribute to society
  • Have a great deal of intellectual curiosity and like to tell people about the knowledge
  • Take on a challenge by cooperating with others
  • Can act independently and take responsibility for their own behavior

Our Faculty is expecting senior high school students who have learned before entrance

  • A reasonable degree of basic knowledge and ability at senior high school level
  • An interest in social events and the way the world operates through newspapers and media
  • The importance of human relationships

Entrance examination by Admission Office is based on:
  • Enthusiasm for learning
  • Communication skills
  • Basic academic ability
Entrance examination by special commendation for specific or integrated courses is based on:
  • Basic academic ability
Entrance examination by special recommendation is based on:
  • Score from senior high school
  • Evidence of self-motivation and ability to achieve goals
Entrance examination by recommendation is based on:
  • A written report
  • Basic academic ability from senior high school
General entrance examination is based on:
  • Basic academic ability at senior high school level
Entrance examination for Students who have returned from abroad is based on:
  • Evaluation of the experience of living abroad
  • Emphasis on the demonstration of a sincere interest in the content of the curriculum for Primary and Secondary Education in Japan and a strong desire to become a teacher
Entrance examination for Adult students is based on:
  • Comprehensive evaluation of a demonstrated interest in and motivation towards, the subject of study, ability to express oneself and an aptitude for in depth study in the Faculty of Education
Entrance examination for International Baccalaureate is based on:
  • Evaluation of logical thinking, the problem-solving ability, communication skills and cross-cultural understanding
